Arctic Circle Business has hired Paninnguaq Fleischer-Lyberth as its new Destination Manager. She will take up the position on 2 March 2026, where she will play a key role in strengthening and further developing Qeqqata Kommunia as an attractive destination for tourism, business and local stakeholders.

From 2 March, Paninnguaq Fleischer-Lyberth can be met at Arctic Circle Business’ office.

Paninnguaq brings strong professional expertise, great commitment and knowledge of the many stakeholders in the area. She has solid experience working at the intersection of local anchoring, development and collaboration, and we look forward to putting her competencies into play in destination development , Arctic Circle Business writes about the appointment.

Paninnguaq Fleischer-Lyberth has broad experience from Qeqqata Kommunia and has, for several years, worked with local development, including as site manager for the UNESCO World Heritage area Aasivissuit – Nipisat.

She has extensive experience of cross-sector collaboration among citizens, businesses, cultural institutions and authorities, as well as in-depth knowledge of both the area’s potential and its challenges.

As Destination Manager, Paninnguaq will be responsible for:

  • strengthening the strategic development of tourism and the experience economy
  • supporting local businesses and initiatives
  • developing new collaborations across the region
  • ensuring that Qeqqata Kommunia is an attractive destination
